A stylistically traditional Country Band from day one, the members of Calvin and the Coal Cars have been been singing, performing, and playing in sync as if they’d been together their entire musical careers. Throughout the course of the band’s union, they have won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life; performing at a variety of venues, making loads of public appearances, all the while recording new music. DAN "UPTOWN" UPTON

Guitarist

Dan has a Ph.D. in kicking ass and taking names. He takes the academic study of guitar sound fonts to a new level, while lacking the self-importance and neurosis typically found in a band's lead guitarist...

BRIAN WETZSTEIN

Pedal Steel/Keys

Brian adds more than just pedal steel guitar to the sound of The Coal Cars. He brings a passionate approach to music, whether in playing leads or installing an action figure into a guitar body...

MATT WINDMUELLER

Bass Guitar

Matt has decades of experience on the bass but he rarely lets it go to his head. The ideal "pocket player", you may have never noticed his contribution if it weren't for the volume at which he plays...

COLTON GABEL

Drums

Colton joined the Coal Cars in the summer of 2020. His experience as a lifelong musician in several genres adds a unique and distinctive groove to the Coal Cars sound.
